Commercial Information
Commercial valuers can be engaged to carry out a property assessment
for you. This valuation generally includes the market value of the
property, based on sales information, plus the economic worth of any
constructed assets on the property, such as houses and fences.
For a list of Registered Valuers, contact the Australian Property
Institute - www.propertyinstitute.com.au
on (+61) 8 9474 2784.

Subdivision and planning information
For information on planning or zoning, contact the planning department
of your local council. If this does not resolve all your queries,
you may wish to contact the Western Australian Planning Commission
- www.planning.wa.gov.au
on (+61) 8 9264 7777.
Relief from rates and taxes
Local Government rates are an annual cost to landowners. Because of
the public benefits associated with retaining natural bushland, some
shire councils have introduced "differential rating" programs
that significantly reduce the rates payable on bushland. Contact your
local council for more information.
If your shire is does not provide rate relief, you still may be able
to reduce your rates by having the property revalued. Contact Landgate's
valuation services branch - www.landgate.wa.gov.au
on (+61) 8 9429 8400 for more information.
